Description

A range of two houses, dating to the 17th century, is situated on the south west side of Codicote High Street. The front of the building is plastered. The north gable end reveals a timber frame structure and brick nogging. The roof is covered with plain tiles, raised at the front in the 19th century. A large 17th-century brick chimney stack is located at the south end, featuring two diagonal shafts. An external brick stack with a 17th-century base is present on the north side. The building is two storeys high with five windows, including a smaller one-window bay at the left end. Number 74 has two sash windows with thin glazing bars and a 19th-century flat door hood supported on shaped brackets.
