Description
The boundary wall with gateway at Graveley Hall dates from the 17th century, with the coping renewed in the 19th century. It is constructed of sandy red brick, featuring a garden wall bond of five courses of stretchers to each course of headers. The coping has a dentil course facing the house and a diagonal toothed course facing the church. There is a doorway that provides access to the west door of the church, and the lintel shows soffit mortices and peg holes for securing timber upright doorposts, which are now missing. The wall stands about 3 meters tall and has a projecting plinth on both faces. This structure is included for its group value.
