Description
Kingswell End is a house that dates from the late medieval period. Originally an open hall house, it had a chimney and floor added in the late 16th century or early 17th century. A lower eastern extension is dated '1777' on a beam. The south kitchen wing was added in the late 18th century, with service rooms located on its western side. There are rear extensions from 1966. The building has a timber frame that is generally roughcast but features exposed red brick infill in the lower eastern extension. It has steep old red tile roofs and is an irregular two-storey structure facing north, with a large internal chimney and an entrance beside it. The eastern extension is 1½ storeys and half-hipped, while there are two-storey extensions at the rear.
