Description

Trinity Cottage is an early 18th-century house, extended to the north down a slope at different levels. The southern block has roughcast first-floor walls over a painted brick ground floor. The northern section has painted brick lower parts. The roof is steeply pitched with old red tiles. The house is a long, irregular range, with two storeys to the south, one storey next, and then two storeys, all maintaining the same eaves and ridge height further down the slope. The eastern-facing facade features a gable at the southern end facing the road. The tall southern part has two-light casement windows; two on the ground floor and one on the first floor. There is an internal gable chimney on the north side. The section to the north has two dormer windows, a rear wall chimney, and a gabled porch with a two-light window to the left and a three-light window to the right. The northern end contains two casement windows on each floor, with an internal chimney rising through the rear slope of the roof. A 20th-century addition linked to the northeast corner is not considered to be of special interest.
