Description

Kingswell End Cottage is a house dating from the early 17th century, with a western extension added in the 1960s. The original section is timber-framed and roughcast, while the extension is red brick. Both have steep red tile roofs. The cottage is a small, rectangular, single-cell house, set back from the road facing south. A large internal eastern gable chimney rises from a narrow room at the northeast corner containing the staircase. The original door, situated near the western corner, is now blocked; access is now through the extension. A three-light casement window is on the ground floor, and a three-light and a two-light window are on the first floor. The axial floor beam has an ovolo moulding.
