Description
Casa Mia is a house dating from around 1600, with later modifications made in the 17th or early 18th century, and further extensions in the 18th or 19th century. It features a timber frame that is rendered and weatherboarded, topped with a thatched roof. Originally, it was designed as a three-bay open hall, which was later floored and heated with a lobby entry. The building has one storey and an attic, with the entrance located to the left of the center. It includes three two-light small pane flush frame casements and two gabled dormers, positioned in the center and to the right. A small addition to the right has lower eaves. There is a ridge stack located behind the entrance, and the weatherboarded gable ends contain one and two-light casements on the left side. At the rear, there is a door, a two-light casement, and a 19th-century external stack made of gault brick. Inside, the property features stop-chamfered bearers and joists, jowled posts, and a clasped purlin roof with S-shaped windbraces.
