Description
This is a 17th-century barn located at the entrance to Mangrove Hall Farm. The barn features brick walls that were constructed in stages during the 18th and 19th centuries. The upper part of the west wall is covered with dark weatherboarding, while the east side and north end have been replaced with red brick. The lower part of the west wall and the south end are finished with a chequered pattern of red and black brick. The barn has a steep roof, which is currently made of corrugated asbestos. It is a long, tall structure that faces west towards the approach drive. There is a stable door near the south end of the front and a large door at the north end. Inside, you can find jowled posts on the west side and a clasped-purlin roof from the 17th century. This barn is included for its group value.
