Description
11 and 12 Tilehouse Street is a building that dates from the 16th to 17th century and was formerly known as the Three Tuns Inn. It has two storeys, with the ground floor faced in brick and the upper floor plastered and partly overhanging. A central carriageway reveals the timber construction of the building. The roof is steep and tiled, with a cross-gable on the east side. There is some old brickwork visible in the tall chimney stack. The building features four windows; three of these in the upper storey are three-light leaded casements, while the remaining window has been replaced with a sash in more recent times. This property is part of a group that includes Nos 1 to 17 (consecutive), Nos 19 to 32 (consecutive), and Nos 35 to 40 (consecutive).
