Description
No. 88 Tilehouse Street is an early to mid 19th century building with a stuccoed front, standing two storeys high. The lower five feet of the façade is rusticated, and it is topped by a steeply pitched tiled roof that features three dormers. The building has three sash windows set in reveals, with ground floor cornices supported by consoles. The first floor includes cast iron railings that enclose small balconies. The entrance door is set within a stucco reveal and is framed by Doric pilasters, a frieze decorated with wreaths, and a cornice. The eaves are finished with a bracketed cornice. This building is part of a group that includes No. 85 and Nos. 87 to 89.
