Description
No 84 on Tilehouse Street is an 18th-century building, built around the same time as No 83 but featuring a later third storey. It is constructed of red brick and has a bracketed roof cornice. The building has five sash windows with glazing bars, which are set under flat arches. The first-floor windows were raised when the top storey was added and have louvered shutters. The entrance includes a door with an oblong fanlight that has glazing bars, all within a panelled reveal, and is framed by Doric pilasters and an entablature. This property is part of a group that includes Nos 70 to 75, Nos 77, 78, and Nos 81 to 84 on the same street.
