Description
19 Tilehouse Street is a small house dating from the 16th to 17th century. It has two storeys and features floated rustication in rough plaster on the facade. The roof is tiled and includes a slightly projecting cross-gable on the west side. The tall chimney stack displays old brickwork in its lower stages. There is a modern brick extension on the east side. The house has two windows, which are three-light leaded casements, and a three-sided bay window with five lights beneath the overhang. A simple wooden doorcase, inserted around 1800, is present, along with a doorhood supported by cut brackets. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 1 to 17 and Nos 19 to 32, as well as Nos 35 to 40.
