Description

This is an 18th-century building on the south side of Tilehouse Street. It is constructed of red brick with a steeply pitched tiled roof and three box dormers. The building has two storeys and attics, topped by a brick cornice parapet. A rainwater head dated 1789 is visible. There are six sash windows, set in broad, nearly flush frames. The first floor has brick aprons decorated with guttae. The wooden door surround features fluted Doric pilasters, a modillioned broken pediment, and a panelled reveal to the door and fanlight. Nos. 1 to 17, Nos. 19 to 32, and Nos. 35 to 40 form a group.
