Description
Tomten is a house dating from the mid to late 18th century that has been extended. It is constructed of whitewashed brick with a tiled roof and stands two storeys tall, featuring five windows. There are steps leading up to a central entrance, which has a four-panelled door topped by a semi-circular traceried light set in a rectangular opening. The doorcase is adorned with consoles supporting a hood. The building has a plinth and glazing bar casements set in deep reveals. The eaves are dentilled, and there are two end stacks with oversailing courses.
On the right side, the building is pebbledashed and has a lower two-storey block attached, which is now used as a surgery and may have been part of an earlier range. This side includes a ground floor three-light casement and a first-floor oculus. A large flat-topped sashed dormer is positioned against the main house, with an end stack and a further low extension to the right. The left side is also pebbledashed and features a one-storey gabled brick extension, along with a separately roofed extension to the rear right. The interior has not been inspected.
