Description

Manor Cottages comprise a house dating from the mid to late 18th century, with extensions added around 1905. The original section is of red brick with a tiled roof and features three bays. The house was extended to create a half-H shaped plan with projecting wings. The central entrance is framed by a Tuscan doorcase topped with a broken pediment and a semi-circular fanlight, leading to a six-panelled door. The ground and first floors are punctuated by sash windows with glazing bars and segmental arched heads. A plat band runs horizontally across the facade, and the eaves are mutuled. Around 1905, wings were added using plum brick with orange brick dressings, incorporating windows similar in style to those in the original sections. These wings add two bays to each side. The roofs are hipped at the front, with ridge stacks. The rear of the original block features casement windows and hips with ridge stacks. A wing to the rear right projects slightly.
