Description
This is a barn located 20 meters southeast of Dalmonds, dating from the early 18th century. It features a timber frame resting on a thin red brick sill laid in English bond, with tile pinnings beneath the timber plate and dark weatherboarding. The barn has a steeply pitched roof that is currently covered with corrugated iron. It is a tall, three-bay structure situated at the rear of the yard, facing south, and includes a projecting gabled porch in the middle bay with double doors. The walls have long straight braces, and there are straight braces supporting the tie-beams. The roof is a clasped-purlin type with a single purlin on each slope, supported by collars of trusses. The wallplates over the posts feature bladed scarf joints.
