House. C16 on earlier site, small extension to N and S and parallel rear wing 1971. Timber frame on black stuccoed sill, plastered with panelled pargetting on Ground Floor, exposed closs-studded timber framing on 1st floor. Steep half-hipped old red tiled roofs. A 3-cells, 2-storeys, internal chimney, lobby entry plan house facing E with a narrow chimney bay, two wide bays to N, a smaller bay for parlour at S (extended by half a bay in 1971). 3 small flush casement windows with small lights on each floor. Gabled porch. Parallel narrow rear range stops short of S end. 1 ½ storeys kitchen set back at N end with gabled dormer on roof slope and open fronted garage to N. Interior has exposed timbers, curved tension braces in rear wall, jowled posts, clasped-purlin roof re-using soot blackened rafters from an earlier house, face-halved bladed scarf joint in wallplate, back-to-back fireplaces, axial beam in parlour but cross beams in part to N of chimney bay. Former stair behind chimney. Mortices for 4-light diamond mullioned window in rear wall.
