1/4 Barn at Ebury Lodge 25 metres NW of house -

Barn. C17. Timberframed, weatherboarded, facing N. Half-hipped thatched roof carried over gabled porch on N. Originally 3 bays with opposed double doors in central bay. Further bay added to W end marked by differences in timbers and straight joint in the red brick sill wall built in English bond in older parts. Swept jowled posts and diagonal bracing in walls. Long curved braces to tie beams. Clasped purlin roof with collars and inclined queen struts. 1 purlin to each slope. Part of group with Sharpes Farm on N side of road.
