Description
19 and 21 Parliament Square are early 19th century houses that have been altered in the 20th century and are now used as a shop. They are timber-framed and covered in stucco, topped with a Welsh slated roof.
The exterior features three storeys with a two-bay front. The first and second floors have canted oriel bays, which contain plain glazed triple sash windows, along with plaster spandrels and moulded wood cornices. The upper modillion cornice on the facade has been altered. The ground floor showcases a 19th-century shopfront with plate glass windows, a recessed central entrance that has a half-glazed door, and an alley door to the left, which is a six-panelled door with a fanlight, flanked by Tuscan pilasters. There is a full-width fascia with a simple modillion cornice. The rear of the building has brick and weatherboarded outshoots that were substantially rebuilt in 1989.
The ground floor has been partly opened up for the shop, while the upper floors have not been inspected.
