Description

33 High Street is a house that has been converted into a shop with a flat above. It dates from the 17th century, with some alterations made in the early 19th century. The building features a timber-framed structure with a masonry lined stucco front and a Welsh slated roof. It stands three storeys tall. The 19th-century shopfront includes slim panelled Doric pilasters, a frieze, and a cornice beneath a tall fascia with a moulded cornice, all situated below a former jettied front. The first and second floors each have a single flush sash window with glazing bars and a moulded architrave surround. At the rear, there is a two-storey outshoot that is timber-framed, with a colourwashed brick ground floor and a plastered first floor, topped with an old tiled roof. The ground floor has a door set in a recess and one flush sash window, while the upper floor features two flush casement windows, all with glazing bars.
