Description
The farmhouse at Lordship's Farm is a house that dates from the 17th century or earlier, with refurbishments made in the early 19th century. The kitchen was rebuilt in the 20th century after a fire. It features a timber frame on a plastered brick sill, roughcast exterior, and steeply pitched tiled roofs. This L-shaped house has two stories and cellars, facing west with a north crosswing. There is a stair tower at the rear angle and a gabled roughcast kitchen that projects east from the middle of the east wall.
A large central chimney is located at the junction of the wings, featuring five octagonal chimney shafts with moulded bases and caps, which are now roughcast. The west front has four windows, with a projecting gabled crosswing on the left and a two-story canted bay window with French windows on the ground floor. There is a sash window on the first floor with a small gable above it, along with three- and two-light casement windows. The entrance is now on the north side of the crosswing, featuring a boarded door, a rectangular fanlight, and flush box sash windows.
