Description
This is a farmhouse located at Swades Farm, dating from the late 17th century or early 18th century. It features a timber frame that is weatherboarded and has a red pantile roof with four courses of tile at the eaves. The house has a three-unit central-chimney plan and faces south. There are opposed doors at the front and back, with the fireplace backing onto a dairy on the east side. The parlour at the west end has an external gable chimney. The front of the house includes a small gabled porch, two windows on the ground floor, and one window above the door, all of which are two-light flush casement windows. There are outbuildings at the rear and east end that are also weatherboarded; these were formerly thatched but are now covered with corrugated iron.
