Description
The farmhouse at Home Farm is a building dating from the late 17th century, with a south wing added in the early 19th century. It features a timber frame that is plastered, with red brick gable walls that are also plastered. The roof is steep and covered with red tiles, while the south wing is constructed of red brick, with the eastern wall plastered and a hipped slate roof.
The house has a central staircase and end chimneys, following a two-room plan with an outshot on the north side. The symmetrical southern front has three windows and a coved eaves cornice, along with three flat-topped casement dormers. Internal gable chimneys are present, and there is a cross-window set flush above the door. Each side of the house features three-light casement windows on both floors. There is also a cellar access flap located under the right-hand window. The central entrance is a six-panel half-glazed door, which is sheltered by a flat hood supported by bold shaped brackets.
