Description

This cottage, located at Number 14 in the rear garden of Braughing village, dates from the 18th or 19th century. It is constructed from a timber frame and is weatherboarded, topped with a steep old red tile roof. The small, rectangular building stands two stories high and faces south. There is a small chimney at the northeast corner. The south front features two windows that overlook the garden, which are four-light wooden flush casement leaded windows. Additionally, there is a 19th-century cross window on the upper floor of the east gable. The cottage may have been converted from an older outhouse and is included for its group value.
