Description
Roxford Barn, located about 20 meters west of Roxford House, is a barn that has been partially converted into a dwelling. It dates from the 17th century or early 18th century and was altered in the 20th century. The structure features a timber frame set on a brick base and is covered with weatherboarding. The roof is tiled and the barn consists of five bays. There is a central gabled midstrey facing the yard, which has double doors. On either side, there are pantiled lean-to outshuts. Two bays on the right have been converted and feature 20th-century windows and dormers, with an entrance at the rear. The gable ends have inserted windows. Inside, there are curved braces supporting cambered tie beams, angled struts to the principals, lower butt purlins, and collars clasping the upper purlins. The barn is included for its group value.
