Description
Roxford Bridge over the River Lea is a road bridge built in 1838, as indicated by the date on the keystones. It is constructed of buff stock brick and features a single arch with keystones. The parapets have plat bands and rounded coping. Pilasters with stone caps flank the arch, and the bridge has splayed abutments with outer end buttresses. The construction was supervised by the County Surveyor and cost £288.
