Supported over cutting on 6 brick piers, with a semi- elliptical arch between the 2 middle piers, and semicircular arches between the others. On each side are 8 projecting rectangular brick panels, over the piers and abutments. The E side has a brick parapet approximately 1.50m above the tarmac road. On the W side the parapet has been taken down to the level of the footbridge, approximately 0.60m above the tarmac, and finished with concrete coping blocks with exposed aggregate, on which is mounted a galvanised iron railing comprising cast stanchions and 2 tubular rails. The road takes its name from this bridge.
