Description

This is an 18th-century house, which was used as a shop at one time. The house is timber-framed with roughcast plastering, a low stucco plinth, and weatherboarding on the ground floor. The slate roof extends to the rear, covering a contemporary outshut. The house is two storeys high, with two windows along the front. The upper floor has flush box sash windows with moulded surrounds, corner blocks, and paterae, featuring 8-pane glazing. The ground floor has a long, shallow 19th-century former shop window with six panes across two sashes, and a door to the left, reached by two steps. The front door is a six-panelled door within a reeded doorcase, featuring corner blocks, paterae, a plain frieze, a flat moulded hood, and fluted quarter-columns at the angles.
