Description

Dudley Cottage is a house located in Braughing village, dating from the 17th century or earlier. It features a timber frame that is plastered and set on a stucco base, topped with a steep half-hipped thatched roof. The house has a three-unit layout with a central chimney and lies in an east-west orientation, with an external gable chimney at the eastern end and a central stack positioned a third of the way from the eastern end. The cottage includes two-light leaded casement windows and has two rectangular bay windows on the north side facing the road, with two casement windows situated between them. The entrance leads into a small extension at the western end.
