Description

Parsonage Mill is an early 16th-century timber-framed house, with alterations and additions dating to the early 17th century, early 19th century, and modern times. It has an old red tile roof. The building is arranged in a T-shape, two storeys high, and comprises four bays. The north-west front faces the lane and features a long, sloping roof to the ground floor, and a central two-storey gabled bay with early 19th-century horizontal sash windows. A modern gabled porch and a 19th-century sash window are set into a south-west projecting end. Various 19th-century sash windows are found on the south-east side, while the gabled east end has horizontal sashes on both floors. Internally, the south-east bay retains an early 17th-century timber frame on both floors. The central two bays are characterised by heavy floor beams and curved roof braces.
