Description

The Clock House comprises a late 18th-century stable block that has been converted into houses. It is constructed of red brick, with modern plastering, and has an old red tile hipped roof. The building is two storeys high, featuring modern doors and windows. A prominent feature is a tall cupola situated at the centre of the roof, built in white painted wood. The cupola has an octagonal plan set upon a square base, and incorporates a peristyle of Doric columns, a modillion cornice, and a lead onion dome topped with a wrought iron weathervane. A clock is housed within a leaded substructure on the south side. The west wall displays a blind brick Serliana, interrupted by a modern chimney.
