Description

This is a house, dating from the 17th century, with a later 20th-century extension to the north. It is timber-framed, resting on a low stuccoed plinth, and is roughly plastered with a steeply pitched roof covered in old red tiles. The building is three cells wide and has a central chimney, following a lobby-entry plan, and faces east. At the south there is a single-story, hipped extension tiled in the same material, and at the rear, a two-story gabled extension. The east front appears nearly symmetrical due to the extension. There are four single-casement windows on the first floor and four flush sash windows, fitted with renewed 8/8 panes, on the ground floor. A gabled hood made of weatherboards shelters the panelled front door, which has decorative hinge plates. A central brick chimney, painted over below the cap, runs axially through the building. Inside, the parlor on the right side of the chimney features an axial beam, while the hall and service room on the left side of the chimney have cross beams.
