Description
No 7 Church Green is a pair of houses that have been joined together, dating from the early 19th century. The building features a timber frame, with the eastern part weatherboarded and the western part roughcast. It has low-pitched slate roofs.
The eastern section is a single-fronted double pile plan house, which includes a central chimney with three flues. There is one window on each floor and a door located on the left. The windows are flush box sash types, with configurations of 4/8 and 8/8 small panes. The entrance features a four-panel door set in a heavy frame, topped with a flat hood supported by cut brackets.
The shallower western section has a symmetrical front, with two windows on each floor and a central doorway that has been blocked. This part includes two-light mullioned flush casement windows with small panes. A two-flue gable chimney on the western side indicates that the eastern rooms are unheated. Together with No 9, this building forms a picturesque pair.
