Description
Longcroft Farm and the adjoining house to the south are a block of semi-detached estate houses built in the late 19th century, likely designed by William Huckvale for the Rothschild Estate. The buildings are constructed of red brick with a half-timbered upper floor and feature steep red tile roofs. They are a symmetrical pair of picturesque estate houses set back from the road, facing west. The houses are one and a half storeys tall and include a central shared flat-topped dormer, with two-storey projecting gabled wings at each end. The entrances are recessed in the centre, leading into half-glazed lobbies. A large red brick pilastered chimney is located centrally and on the outsides of the wings. Each gabled projection has a ground floor 4-light casement window with small panes and a segmental arch, along with a similar 3-light flush casement window above.
