Description
The barns located to the southwest of Dancers End House are a pair of attached structures that form an L-shaped block, dating from 1846. They are constructed of red brick with some blue headers and feature an old tiled roof that is hipped at the southeast corner. A weathervane is positioned on the eastern gable.
The barns have gabled projections at the center of the south and west elevations, each containing a small door. The west projection is accessible via a flight of brick steps with brick parapets. The buildings are situated on a steep slope, with double plinths on the outer south and west walls.
On the north and east elevations, which face the former farmyard, there are pairs of diamond-shaped honeycomb brick ventilators placed at regular intervals. The north wall includes a stable door to the left of the cart doors, along with a smaller pair of doors positioned at a higher level. The east wall features two cart doors and a stable door to the right.
A stone tablet embedded in the south wall, facing the lane, is inscribed with "BUILT BY J. PARROT 1846." Inside, the barns are supported by raking queenpost trusses.
