Description
The stable block located to the west of Drayton Manor dates from the early 19th century. It is constructed of buff brick and features a hipped slate roof with a brick chimney on the left-hand side of the center. The building is two stories tall and consists of eight bays, with single-story wings on each end that are two bays wide. The central two bays project slightly and include a shallow gable with a roundel, stone coping, and projecting kneelers.
On the ground floor, there are two semicircular arched openings, and a central window on the first floor has a flat arch, flanked by narrow gothic arched slits. The three-bay sides feature a central stable door with leaded windows on either side, and there are three blank windows on the first floor, all with cambered arches. The left-hand wing has a stable door with windows on either side, while the right-hand wing includes two wooden garage doors.
