Description

St. Leonard's Cottage is an early 18th-century house located on Trowley Hill Road in Flamstead. The building features red brick with black headers arranged in Flemish bond, complemented by red dressings and a wooden moulded eaves cornice. It has a very steep old red tile roof and a low parallel rear wing made of red brick with a slate roof. The house is two stories tall and faces east, with two windows on each floor and a central entrance. The windows are flush box sashes, with 6/6 panes on the ground floor and 8/8 panes on the first floor, all set beneath wooden lintels. The doorway is topped with a pointed hood supported by shaped scrolled brackets.
