Description
This is a barn located next to the house at Wick Farm, dating from the early 17th century. It features a timber frame set on a tarred brick base, with tarred weatherboarding and a steeply pitched roof that has been slated. The barn has a tall structure with six bays and faces west, featuring double doors in the second bay from each end. It includes jowled posts, a mid-height rail, and straight tension braces. The roof is designed with clasped purlins, one purlin on each slope, and straight wind-braces. Inside, there are old flat rafters along with collar and tie-beam trusses.
