Description

79 Marlowes is an early 19th-century building featuring a stucco front and a Welsh slated roof. It is two storeys high and has consoles supporting the eaves cornice. The first floor has three sash windows with architrave surrounds; the outer windows have glazing bars, and the central window is topped with a cornice on consoles. The building has chamfered quoins and a ground floor that includes an arcaded cast iron verandah, which features an anthemion motif on the balcony railings. The entrance consists of a central four-panel door with a fanlight that has ornamental glazing, flanked by two sash windows. Nos 75 to 85 (odd) form a group with this building.
