Description

Ivy Cottage is a house that dates back to the 17th century or earlier, with a later 20th-century addition to the south. The building features a timber frame that is roughcast, with some exposed timbers, and is topped by a steep old red tile roof. It is a long structure with two storeys and one-and-a-half storeys, facing west. The older northern part of the house has two casement windows and a large chimney that was formerly external, with the top made of 17th or 18th-century brickwork. There is also an added segmental oriel window and a small porch on the northwest side. The southern extension includes three gabled dormers that rise through the eaves, a gabled porch, and two brick bays with tiled lean-to roofs.
