Description
No 480 on Goff's Lane is a building dating from around 1840, likely incorporating elements of an earlier timber frame structure. It features red brick construction and a terracotta tile roof, with two storeys and two windows. The upper windows are adorned with two gables that have large cusped and panelled bargeboards with wavy edges and lower finials, connected by an eaves valence of the same design. The windows are three-light casements topped with moulded Tudor hoods, and the brickwork displays a burnt-header pattern. A later porch with a slate roof has been added. On the eastern side, there is a large external chimney stack, likely rebuilt from the 17th century, which has a stepped base and two diagonal flues made of yellow stock brick. Similar flues are present on the western gable.
