Description
This is a pair of houses located at 4 and 5 Threaders Green, dating from the 17th century. They are timber framed and plastered, featuring a thatched, half-hipped roof. The houses are one storey with attics; No. 75 has three 20th-century eyebrow dormers, while No. 77 has one large eyebrow dormer and two separate 20th-century casement windows. No. 75 also has 20th-century casement windows, and No. 77 features similar windows with horizontal panes and a black weatherboarded 20th-century open porch. Both houses have a central ridge line stack that has been rebuilt in the 20th century with concertina shafts. No. 77 retains fragments of old pargetting, and both houses have a skirt of black boarding.
