Description

The gates and gate piers at the west entrance to Shortgrove Park are a pair of wrought iron gates and red brick gate piers designed in the 18th century style. The heavy wrought iron gates feature intricate scrollwork and beaten metal with foliated designs. The gate piers are banded and topped with stone cornices, while the east gate pier is adorned with an ornamental stone urn.
