Description

Priory Cottage and The Old Priory is a late 15th century timber-framed and plastered building located on the west side of Newport Bridge End. It stands two storeys high, with the upper storey jettied over most of the front, although a section at the west end, which may have been added later, does not have this feature. The windows are leaded casements, and on the ground floor at the east end, there is an original oriel bay window that features a moulded oak sill, mullions, and lintel. The roof is tiled and includes a central cruciform chimney stack. The interior retains original features.
