Description
Priory Cottage and its east extension is a house built in the early 19th century. It is constructed of dressed sandstone and features a hipped Westmorland slate roof with diminishing courses and stone ridge copings. The building has two storeys and two bays, with French windows on the ground floor that have iron frames and geometric-pattern glazing bars. The first floor has two-light stone mullioned windows with iron casements and diamond-pattern glazing bars. There is a central blocked doorway with a Tudor arch. To the right, there is a slightly recessed mid-19th century extension made of matching materials, also two storeys and a single bay, with matching windows. The rear extensions to the north and northwest are not of interest.
