Description

Nos 12 to 16 Silver Street is a timber-framed and plastered house with 18th-century external features, possibly incorporating an earlier frame. The building is two storeys high and has a four-window range featuring double-hung sashes with glazing bars. On the ground floor, there are two rectangular shop window bays; one bay has 18th-century or early 19th-century glazing bars with small panes, while the other has 19th-century glazing. The property includes three doorways, two of which are flanked by pilasters, and one features a moulded architrave, all topped with cornices. The roof is tiled and hipped at both the north and south ends, with a coved plaster eaves cornice and a central chimney stack.
