The well house and treadmill located to the north of Berden Priory is a building likely dating from the 17th century. It is constructed from timber framing and is covered with weatherboarding and a tiled roof. Inside, it contains a well that is approximately 120 feet deep and features a vertical donkey wheel, which remains in perfect working order.
