Description
Dewes Green Farmhouse has origins dating to the late 16th century, with alterations from the 17th and 18th centuries. It is a timber-framed and plastered house, featuring some weather-boarding. The building is two storeys tall and has small casement windows, along with a boarded door. The roof is tiled, with a central chimney stack and half-hipped ends at the north and south. Inside, there is an exposed late 16th-century inglenook fireplace and an oak tread newel staircase. The early construction includes brick infill, while the rear part of the house is constructed with 18th-century plastered clay bat.
