Description
The barn at Great Garnetts Farm, located immediately south of the gatehouse, cartlodge, and outbuildings, dates from the late 15th century or early 16th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and plastered exterior, topped with a half hipped roof made of corrugated asbestos. The barn features eight bays and is aisled, with two later midstreys on the northeast side. It has jowled posts and a crown post roof supported by low profile longitudinal braces. The barn is situated on a moated site.
