Description
This barn, located 30 metres southeast of Manwood Farmhouse, dates from the late 16th century. It features a timber frame with black weatherboarding and a half-hipped roof covered in peg tiles, along with a gabled midstrey in the centre of the south side. The barn is aisled on both sides and forms the southern side of the farmyard. It consists of five bays, showcasing elegant jowled posts, passing braces in the aisles, and curving internal wall braces. The roof employs a queen post structure that supports side purlins, with curved wind bracing in the central bay.
