Description

This barn, located 30 metres south-west of Gatehouse Farmhouse, dates from the late 16th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and is weatherboarded, featuring a roof made of handmade red plain tiles. The barn consists of five bays aligned north-south, with a midstrey on the east side. Both the main roof and the midstrey roof are half-hipped. The structure includes jowled posts and arch-braced tiebeams. The farmhouse itself is not listed.
